Digital Studies Instagram
This is the Instagram page I have been managing for the past two academic years as the Social Media Intern for the Digital Studies Certificate at UW. My work in this role helps increase engagement and spread awareness about the certificate to students. I've worked to create reels, static posts, and campaigns that have helped increase follower count and build a stronger Digital Studies community. This role has taught me how to develop brand-consistent digital content for social media platforms, as well as taught me how to strategically communicate to a target audience.
Wisconsin Waale Mini Documentary
This is a miniature documentary I co-produced for a class project. Throughout this project, I utilized my knowledge in interviewing, cinematography, and editing to create a promotional video for Wisconsin Waale, a UW a cappella group. For this project, I helped create a pitch for the video, organize a shot list, schedule, and interview questions. I helped set up lighting, sound, and the camera for production, and edited the video on Adobe Premiere Pro. The most challenging part of this project was balancing and mixing sound ( a very important thing to get right in a video about competing singers ). This gave me great insight into what to pay attention to during production in order to make the video work in post-production. The group loved the video and was able to use it in advertising their club, which felt very fulfilling to me!
